A regular Client of MNCN Architecture’s purchased land on Central Avenue in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire with the intent to develop the site. In it’s essence, the priority was to add a desirable detached residential plot which maximised the available space; MNCN were instructed as the architect to carry out the concept, planning and building regulations related works.

From the outset a traditional form was opted for with a dual-pitched roof and red-brick aesthetics to compliment the surroundings. Added to this were simple but effective detailing such as window heads/cills, banding and brick corbel details for added kerb appeal. The form opts for a staggered facade to allow sufficient room at the front to allow off-street parking as well as creating an inviting image from the street view.

The internal spaces of the Central Avenue project follow the through-line of modern living with open and flexible living spaces at the ground level. On the upper floor, bedrooms varying from singles to a master with an en-suite suit the needs for the entire family. Glazing to the rear via windows and patio doors invites the southerly sun in to the internal space and reduces the barrier between internal and external living.
