With this project, a client purchased a piece of land in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire which formerly belonged to the neighbouring property. The intent was to develop the site to add a desirable detached residential plot as it was deemed to be the method of maximising the available space.

Traditional with it’s dual-pitched roof and red-brick aesthetics, the dwelling has added window heads/cills, banding and brick corbel details to set it apart from the surrounding properties. The form opts for a staggered facade to allow sufficient room at the front to allow off-street parking, thus creating an inviting image from the street view.

The internal spaces follow the through-line of modern living with open and flexible living spaces at the ground level. On the upper floor, bedroom varying from singles to a master with an en-suite suit the needs for the entire family.

Glazing to the rear via windows and patio doors invites the southerly sun in to the internal space and reduces the barrier between internal and external living.
