| RESIDENTIAL | NEW-BUILD |
| PLANNING | BUILDING REGULATIONS |
Scotgrave Farm is located in Gedling, Nottingham and originally consisted of a derelict farmhouse and outbuildings. The site’s size, proximity to the newly build Chase Farm estate and the fact it had previously received planning approval led our Client to purchase it for a residential, new-build development and instructed us as the Architect for the scheme.
The design brief was built around achieving planning and building regulations approval for a residential development with a traditional red-brick aesthetic, comprehensive detailing for additional street appeal and a combination of property types to appeal to various demographics.
The shape of the site lends itself to creating a row of properties to the rear of the existing farmhouse. This is where our cul-de-sac of 3-bed semi-detached dwellings and a 2-bed bungalow would be situated. With the bungalow next to the rear boundary to mitigate any overlooking of adjacent properties.
Both property types follow the language of traditional red-brick housing while incorporating sufficient detailing, space and amenities to create appealing family homes which complement their immediate surroundings in Gedling. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the development hit site in the Autumn of 2024!
