Once a concept design has been agreed, a project can move forward to the planning stage. Although there are some exemptions such as some porches, conservatories and loft conversions (see here), for most projects the obtainment of planning approval is absolutely critical to it’s progression. This stage is used to communicate a project’s intent and how it compliments the related plot to the local authority to help them gain the insight required to sign off the official approval needed to move forward to the next stage of a project’s lifecycle; building regulations.
